Cardiorespiratory fitness refers to the efficiency with which your body transports oxygen to muscles and extracts it for energy. Cardiorespiratory fitness (CRP) is divided into TWO categories: maximum aerobic efficiency (Zone 2 training) and peak aerobic output (Zone 5/Vo2 max). Vo2 max is the maximum amount of oxygen a person can use during high intensity exercise. This test will start with a 3 minute warm up followed up by gradual increases in intensity. Of note, Resting metabolic analysis must be done before being approved for the VO2 max test.
